IUI Treatment Roadmap

This roadmap is designed for all patients at Angel Fertility Clinic—whether residing locally in Kathmandu, traveling from other districts within Nepal, or visiting from abroad.

1. Foundation: Pre-Cycle Workup

2. IUI Treatment & Medication Timeline

3. Important Guidelines: Dos and Don’ts

The Dos

  • Stay Hydrated: Drink 2–3 liters of water daily.
  • Prenatal Care: Take Folic Acid and supplements as prescribed.
  • Light Activity: Walking is encouraged to support circulation.
  • Communication: Send local scan reports via Viber/WhatsApp promptly.

The Don’ts

  • Avoid Extreme Heat: No saunas or hot tubs after the IUI.
  • No High-Impact Exercise: Avoid heavy lifting or intense cardio.
  • Lifestyle: Strictly no smoking or alcohol for both partners.
  • Medication: Don't take NSAIDs (like Ibuprofen) without consulting us.

4. Logistics for Traveling Patients

For patients traveling from outside the Kathmandu Valley:

  • Remote Monitoring: Day 8 scans can be done in your home district.
  • Stay Duration: Plan for 2–4 days in Kathmandu around ovulation.
  • Return Travel: Safe to travel home 2–4 hours after the procedure.
